ART GALLERY AND PICTURE FRAMING
Donald J. Siuta, Director
Andrew Sanders
Buffalo artist Andrew Sanders lived in New York City during the 1960s and 70s. Like many aspiring artists he traveled from place to place riding the city's extensive subway system with pen and pad in hand sharpening his skills, capturing the various people and things he saw. When he passed away in 2010, he left behind numerous sketch pads with hundreds of drawings that spanned his over 70 year career as an artist. On view at Art Dialogue Gallery from January 17 through March 13, 2015 was a selection of impromptu works Sanders did while riding the NYC subway system sketching people and their environment. The 34 works included in the exhibit are all pen and ink. This exhibition was curated by gallery director Donald J. Siuta.
